Water Treatment Project

This is one of the internal projects from the Crestwood Consulting Company on water treatment. A detailed, advanced technology for modern water treatment.

While various technologies exist to address cumulative impact of permitted industrial effluent discharges, their application is often at the individual facility level or for specific contaminant removal, not necessarily for the holistic management of cumulative impacts in a watershed. More so, current technologies for mitigating post-treatment contamination in water distribution pipelines primarily focus on preventing ingress, maintaining water quality within the pipes, and detecting contamination events. However, these technologies have its limitations and untapped areas for innovation.
Thus, to address these two water challenges, the overall goal of this project is to revolutionize water treatment through an innovative, in-situ floating water treatment system that can be deployed directly on watershed. By pre-treating the heavily polluted water bodies due to cumulative impact of permitted industrial effluent discharges to the acceptable water quality level that existing municipal water treatment plant’s (MWTP’s) can handle, this will significantly alleviate the strain on existing infrastructure, reduce operational costs, enhance water treatment efficiency and improve the overall water quality.
